February 15: Stouffville Declares Winter Weather Event
The Town of Stouffville has declared a significant weather event due to an incoming winter storm that is expected to bring up to 25 cm of snow into Monday, February 17. Environment Canada has issued a Winter Storm Advisory for the region, warning of poor visibility and hazardous travel conditions.
February 13: Winter Weather Service Update
Waste collection services are delayed today due to hazardous road conditions, with collection resuming at 7:00 a.m. on Friday if routes cannot be completed. The Memorial Park Skating Trail is expected to open by 11:00 a.m. following snow removal, and Town Hall and community centres remain open as scheduled.
Town and Strawberry Festival Announce New Partnership to Enhance Iconic Community Event
The Town of Stouffville and the Strawberry Festival Board are partnering to strengthen and grow the beloved festival, a community tradition for over 40 years. The Town will manage operations like entertainment, sponsorships, marketing, and vendor coordination while the Board continues to oversee legacy events such as the Pancake Breakfast and the Sandra Stronach Red Berry Café. Join us for the 2025 Strawberry Festival from June 27–29, with Canada Day fireworks on July 1!

Notice of Council Public Meeting: Tenth Line Proposed Zoning By-law Amendment
The Public Meeting on March 5, 2025, will discuss a proposed zoning by-law amendment to facilitate the development at 12762 Tenth Line. The meeting will be live-streamed, and the public can attend in person or electronically to provide input.

Community Flag Raising & Special Library Event
The York Region Alliance of African Canadian Communities will host a flag-raising ceremony on February 3 at 11:00 AM at the Community Flag Pole (2 Park Drive) to honour Black History Month. Plus, on February 22 at 10:15 AM, the Stouffville Library will welcome Kesha Christie for an all-ages storytelling event celebrating African and Caribbean folktales.
Helping build more homes, faster in Whitchurch-Stouffville
The Government of Canada and the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville announced on January 28 that they reached an agreement to accelerate the construction of 225 homes over the next three years. This work will help spur the construction of 1,240 homes over the next decade. This agreement under the second round of the HAF, will provide over $8 million to eliminate barriers to building the housing we need, faster.
