We offer recreation fee assistance and property tax deferrals [link to page: Tax Appeals, Rebates and Deferrals] to those who qualify. View eligibility requirements and learn how to apply for different types of financial help.

We will notify you if there is a planned or unplanned disruption to Town services that might affect accessibility. We post notices in the applicable service area and on our website, as well as through other methods depending on the circumstance.

Multi-Year Accessibility Plan

Our Multi-Year Accessibility Plan (MYAP) aligns with the goals in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) to identify, remove and prevent barriers that restrict opportunities for people with disabilities. It describes our plans to identify and remove these barriers for all Town facilities and services. The plan also outlines the progress we’ve made over the past years and sets a course for the future.

View our 2023 status report, 2022 status report, and 2021 status report on the MYAP.

We developed the MYAP and status reports with input from staff, the Accessibility Advisory Committee and the public.

Accessibility legislation

The federal and provincial governments enforce the following accessibility legislation to remove barriers to disabilities and make Ontario completely accessible by 2025.

Website accessibility

We are dedicated to ensuring that our website and its content meet the requirements set out under the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). To ensure our website and content are accessible, we check our content regularly and receive training on how to create accessible digital documents.
