On-Street Parking Restrictions and Road Closures for Ribfest

This year’s Stouffville Ribfest is happening in Memorial Park on August 11, 4 - 10 p.m., August 12, 12-10 p.m. and August 13, 12 - 7 p.m.


Road Closure Details:

During the event, Burkholder Street will be closed for everyone's safety and enjoyment. The closure will be in effect from Thursday, August 10th, 8 a.m., until Monday, August 14th, 12 p.m. We'll be shutting down Burkholder Street from Park Drive to Leisure Centre Driveway, so be sure to plan your routes accordingly.

Available parking locations:

  • Leisure Centre Parking Lot (2 Park Drive)
  • Parking Lot at Park Drive & Booth Drive
  • Surrounding neighborhoods/streets without parking restrictions listed below


Parking Restrictions:

We want to make sure everything runs smoothly, so there will be some temporary parking restrictions in certain areas to ensure that emergency vehicles have clear access.

Here are the locations with parking restrictions:

  • Thicketwood Boulevard: Starting at the South-West corner of Stouffer St/Thicketwood Blvd. along the South Side to Lori Ave.
  • Booth Drive: entire street
  • Stuart Street: entire street
  • Lori Avenue: South side from Thicketwood Blvd to Stouffer St.
  • Wheeler Crescent: entire street
  • Park Drive: east side from Main St. to Manitoba St.
  • Tindale Road: South-west corner of Manitoba St/Tindale Rd.
  • Maytree Avenue: entire street
  • Hawthorne Avenue: On the north side, from Tindale Rd. to Baker St.
  • Church Street: On the west side, from Main St. to Frederick St.
  • Duchess Street: Starting at the south-west corner of Church St./Duchess St. and going all the way to George St.
  • George Street: Starting at the north-west corner of Church St./George St. and continuing along the north and west sides to Mill St.
  • Warriner Street: On the north side, from Church St. to the west limit
  • Leisure Centre Driveway (Franklin St in W-S Maps): From Burkholder St to Leisure Centre Parking Lot.
  • Burkholder St: On the north side, from Leisure Centre Driveway to Blake St. Also, on the south side between Leisure Centre Driveway and O'Brien Ave.
  • Blake St: On the east side, from Burkholder St to Main St.
  • Lloyd St: On the east side, 100m south of Main St to Burkholder St.
  • O'Brien Ave: On the east side, from Main St to Burkholder St.
  • Market St: On the west side, from Main St to Burkholder St.

Municipal Law Enforcement Officers will be patrolling these streets on August 11, 12 & 13, 2023 between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Remember, the event is all about having a fantastic time with friends and family. So, let's work together to ensure everyone's safety and make this year's Stouffville Ribfest the best one yet!


All other parking restrictions will be enforced, such as:

  • Parking within 3 metres of a fire hydrant
  • Park obstruct sidewalk
  • Park so as to interfere with traffic
  • Park facing opposite direction traffic is proceeding
  • Parking within 9 metres of an intersection
  • Parking within a “No Parking” or “No Stopping” zone
