Public Invited to Help Shape Two New Stouffville Parks

Residents are invited to help shape the future of two new parks planned for the Stouffville community.

The Town of Stouffville is hosting public meetings for Busato Parkette and McKean Park, where residents can review draft concept plans and provide feedback on proposed park features.

Community input will help guide the final design of these new neighbourhood spaces, which are being developed as part of residential growth in Stouffville.

Busato Parkette

A new neighbourhood parkette is planned for 330 Busato Drive. The approximately 3,007.78 m² (0.3 ha) park will be located between Red Blossom Court and Seedling Crescent in Ward 6.

The parkette is envisioned as a welcoming neighbourhood gathering space that supports active living and community connection.

Proposed amenities may include:

  • A children’s playground
  • Multi-use pathway connections
  • Outdoor seating areas with shade structures

Residents are invited to attend a public meeting to review the draft concept plan and share feedback.

Public Meeting – Busato Parkette

Location: Nineteen on the Park (19 Civic Avenue)

Time: 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

McKean Park

A larger community park is also planned for 185 McKean Drive. The proposed park will span approximately 16,004 m² (1.6 ha) and provide a multi-use recreation space for residents of all ages.

Potential amenities may include:

  • A playground
  • Spray pad
  • Adventure play zone
  • Outdoor seating with shade
  • Sport courts
  • Walking trails
  • Fitness stations
  • Open green space
