Stouffville Line Service Change: No GO Train Service April 12-13
Metrolinx is making improvements along the Stouffville Line as part of the GO Expansion program. To accommodate this work, there will be no GO train service on the Stouffville Line on Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13.
During this time, GO buses will replace train service at all stations except Kennedy, Agincourt and Milliken GO. Local transit options will be available to assist with travel.
Construction Work Taking Place:
- Retaining wall rehabilitation
- Finch Kennedy SmartTrack Station construction
Weekend GO Bus Service (April 12-13)
GO buses will replace train service, ensuring continued access to and from Stouffville GO and Old Elm GO.
- Route 71C: Travels between Union Station Bus Terminal, Unionville GO, Centennial GO, Markham GO, Mount Joy GO, Stouffville GO and Old Elm GO.
- Route 71G: Runs express between Union Station Bus Terminal and Unionville GO.
- Route 71E: Travels between Union Station Bus Terminal, Unionville GO, Centennial GO, Markham GO and Mount Joy GO.
Late-Night Service Impacts (Friday, April 11)
There will be some adjustments to service late at night on Friday, April 11:
- The 10 PM train from Union Station will be extended to make stops at Stouffville and Old Elm GO. Customers traveling to Uxbridge can connect to GO bus Route 70D at Mount Joy.
- The last train from Union Station at 12:01 AM will be replaced by a GO bus.
- GO bus Route 71G will depart Union Station Bus Terminal at 12:10 AM and run express to Unionville GO.
This work is part of the GO Expansion program, designed to transform GO rail from a rush-hour service to a more frequent, two-way, all-day rapid transit experience. Construction on the Stouffville Line will enable future service improvements, including the foundational work for a second track and other corridor upgrades.
