Stouffville to Brighten up Main Street this Fall

Stouffville Receives Support from My Main Street to Draw Visitors and Increase Vibrancy in Downtown Stouffville

STOUFFVILLE, ON - The Town of Stouffville is pleased to announce that its Cultural Hub project was selected for the My Main Street Community Activator initiative, and has received support to bring more vibrancy to Stouffville’s community spaces by creating a Cultural Hub in the heart of downtown Stouffville. This investment in art, culture, and beautification will not only enrich daily life in Stouffville but also attract visitors, support local businesses, and foster a stronger sense of community pride.

The support will help further revitalize key areas along Main Street with holiday lighting displays creating a festive atmosphere during the winter months. Residents and visitors can look forward to interactive light activations, such as a selfie station with illuminated wings and a photo-friendly swing, perfect for capturing fun, memorable moments with family and friends.

Working in partnership with STEPS Public Art, two new murals will also be installed in the coming weeks, a wall mural at 6242 Main Street and a unique ground mural along the Sculpture Walk—adding even more charm and creativity to our town's public spaces. In addition to art and lighting, the 2024 Patio Series at 19 on the Park was also supported, which featured a diverse lineup of free, live performances throughout the summer.

My Main Street is built on the principle of supporting community economic development and creating vibrant and diverse neighbourhoods which will enhance the overall quality of life for residents while also promoting sustainable and inclusive community development. My Main Street is delivered by the Canadian Urban Institute (CUI), and supported by a Government of Canada investment through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario).
