Town of Stouffville Wins Two Top 100 Awards from Festival and Events Ontario
The Town of Stouffville is proud to announce that two of Stouffville’s signature events have been recognized with Top 100 Awards at the 2026 Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO) Awards Gala.
The Community Services and Events teams were honoured with two Top 100 Festival Awards for the Stouffville Main Street 5K and the Stouffville Strawberry Festival. Festivals and Events Ontario represents more than 2,500 festivals and events across the province through its membership. The annual Achievement Awards program recognizes excellence and innovation in festivals and events across Ontario.
“Receiving this recognition from Festivals and Events Ontario reflects the passion, creativity and dedication of our staff, volunteers, sponsors and community partners,” says Community Services Commissioner, Rob Braid. “These events continue to grow year after year, bringing residents and visitors together while showcasing the unique energy and spirit of Stouffville.”
“Congratulations to everyone who helped make these events such a success,” said Stouffville Mayor, Iain Lovatt. “The Stouffville Main Street 5K and Strawberry Festival are wonderful examples of how community events create connection, support local businesses and celebrate what makes Stouffville special. We are proud to see them recognized at the provincial level.”
The Stouffville Main Street 5K brings runners and walkers of all ages and abilities together for a vibrant community race experience through the heart of downtown Stouffville. The event promotes active living while raising money for the Markham-Stouffville Hospital Foundation and supporting local businesses and community engagement along the Main Street corridor.
The Stouffville Strawberry Festival, one of the community’s most beloved annual traditions, features live entertainment, family-friendly activities, local vendors, and of course, fresh Ontario strawberries. The festival attracts thousands of residents and visitors each year and celebrates Stouffville’s agricultural heritage and strong sense of community pride. The event is delivered through a valued partnership between the Town and the volunteer Strawberry Festival Board of Directors and Committee, whose ongoing leadership helps preserve the festival’s legacy as a community-driven celebration.
The awards were presented during the annual Awards Gala Dinner held on the evening of February 25th as part of the 2026 Festivals and Events Ontario Annual Conference.
