Museum & Community Centre
The Town of Stouffville’s Museum and Community Centre provides programs and services so you can explore and celebrate our local history, culture and heritage. With over 18,000 artifacts in our collection and a variety of interactive programs and exhibits, experience the local lifestyle of the 1800s combined with modern amenities.

The Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum and Community Centre offers many fun events and programs for all ages.

The Town of Stouffville proudly presents Heritage Initiatives, including our annual Heritage Awards.
The idea for the museum began in 1969 as a community-based project brought forward by local residents with a passion for Canadian history and a love for the Town. Since 1971, the site has grown from the original museum building, the Bogarttown School House (built in 1857), and now includes:
- A historic barn and outhouse
- A log cabin (circa 1850)
- A Victorian-era farmhouse (circa 1860)
- The Vandorf Public School (1870)
- A modern facility added in 2012
Traveling from out of town? The museum is located at 14732 Woodbine Ave. Find out how to get to Stouffville’s museum depending on where you’re traveling from.
If you’re traveling from the Toronto area:
- Take the Don Valley Parkway to the 404 northbound
- Continue to the Bloomington Road exit
- Turn right onto Bloomington Road (eastbound)
- Turn left at the first stoplight, northbound onto Woodbine Avenue
Continue north on Woodbine. The Museum is on the west (left) side of the road, immediately north of the park
If you’re traveling from the Newmarket area:
- Take the 404 southbound
- Continue to Aurora Road exit
- Turn left onto Aurora Road (eastbound)
Turn right at Woodbine Avenue (southbound). The Museum is on the west (right) side of the road
If you’re traveling from downtown Stouffville:
- Take Stouffville Road westbound to Woodbine Avenue
- Turn right onto Woodbine Avenue (northbound)
Continue north on Woodbine. The Museum is on the west (left) side of the road, immediately north of the park
