Council Approves 2023 Operating and Capital Budgets

Town Council approved Whitchurch-Stouffville’s first service-based budget on Wednesday, March 1. This multi-year budget includes the approval of the 2023 Operating Budget, totaling $67,443,950 and the Capital Budget of $26,776,000. Additionally, the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville’s Council approved a grant of $2,795,220 for the Whitchurch-Stouffville Public Library and Latcham Art Centre.

Stouffville appoints interim Chief Administrative Officer

Stouffville Council has named Fire Chief Bill Snowball as the Town’s interim Chief Administrative Officer. Chief Snowball, who was recently recognized for 45 years of dedicated service by Council, steps in for Rob Adams who was dismissed yesterday from the position.

Stouffville Council Dismisses Chief Administrative Officer

February 15, 2023

During today’s meeting, Stouffville Council chose to dismiss Chief Administrative Officer Rob Adams. Adams was relieved of his duties effective immediately.  Adams joined the Town as CAO in May of 2019. “On behalf of Council and staff, I would like to thank Rob for his contributions to the municipality over the past four years,” said Mayor Iain Lovatt.  “We wish Rob continued success in his future endeavours.” Recruitment of a new Chief Administrative Officer will begin immediately according to Lovatt.  An interim replacement will be named in the coming days.

Educational panels installed at the Jean-Baptiste Lainé site

The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville has launched a pilot project at the Jean-Baptiste Lainé Site to provide users of the trail system with additional information about the late 16th to early 17th century ancestral Wendat village.
