Helping build more homes, faster in Whitchurch-Stouffville
The Government of Canada and the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville announced on January 28 that they reached an agreement to accelerate the construction of 225 homes over the next three years. This work will help spur the construction of 1,240 homes over the next decade. This agreement under the second round of the HAF, will provide over $8 million to eliminate barriers to building the housing we need, faster.

Temporary Closure of Memorial Park Skating Trail
The Memorial Park Skating Trail will be closed today, January 10, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM to allow for final preparations for the Mayor and Council’s New Year’s Levee and Skate. We invite you to join us after the closure for the grand opening celebrations, starting at 6:00 PM, featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a special performance by the Stouffville Skating Club, and the first organized public skate on the new trail. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you this evening!
Memorial Park Skating Trail Grand Opening
Stouffville is excited to announce the grand opening of the Memorial Park Skating Trail during the Mayor and Council’s New Year’s Levee on Friday, January 10, 2025, featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a performance by the Stouffville Skating Club, and the first public skate on the new 275-metre refrigerated and accessible trail. Funded through a $5.57 million investment from federal, provincial, and municipal contributions, the trail promises to be a vibrant, year-round community hub for recreation and inclusivity.

As a result of the Christmas and New Year holidays, there are changes to Stouffville's waste collection schedule. If your regular pick-up is between Wednesday and Friday, your collection will take place one day later for both this week and next.

Town Offers Worry-free Parking this Holiday Season
The Town of Stouffville is lifting winter parking restrictions this holiday season from December 22 through January 2. During this time, residents and visitors will not require parking permits to park more than three-hours or overnight on town streets.
