The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville partnered with the consultancy firm Customer Service Professionals Network (“CSPN”) to develop an DE&I Strategy & Action Plan for the Town. The Plan is intended to help the Town in continued efforts to build a diverse and inclusive workforce and provide programs and services to residents by using diversity and inclusion lenses. 

The DE&I Strategy and Action Plan articulates the Town’s vision, values, and commitments for diversity, equity, and inclusion. To do this, the Town engaged in a 4-month project that: 

1. Conducted an internal assessment and a community needs assessment to build an understanding of the current DE&I culture at the Town 
2. Developed a DE&I Framework which articulated the Town’s unique DE&I Inclusive Statement, Values, and Commitments 
3. Synthesized all data and insights to identify organizational strengths and gaps to develop a comprehensive DE&I Action Plan
